iPhone 4G and iPad 4G on Sprint

Sprint iPhone 4G

iPhone users can get iPhone 4G or iPad 4G on Sprint by using Sprint’s Overdrive 4G Mobile Hotspot. Sprint’s 4G Hotspot provides faster Internet access than AT&T’s 3G network. Sprint recently created a video ad showing it off and making fun of AT&T’s slower 3G network. Here is what’s in the video:

Matt: Hi, I’m Matt. Here’s what I can do with 4G + Sprint. My Friend Steve’s iPhone is cool, but it’s limited to AT&T’s 3G speeds. So I’m going to use the Overdrive 4G Mobile Hotspot to make it up to 10 times faster. While that’s happening, I’m going to enjoy this tasty snack (eats an Apple).
Steve: Woah, done!
Matt: What can you do with 4G?
Narrator: Whatever you do, do it up to 10 times faster than 3G with 4G from Sprint. It’s more than a wireless network, it’s a wireless revolution.

You can see the video of the ad at this link. The Sprint Overdrive can also be used to bring 4G to the iPad, but it certainly is more expensive than AT&T’s $30/mo. no contract plan. The industry average 3G speeds are 600Kbps-1.7 Mbps while the 4G average speeds are 3-6 Mbps. 4G is currently available in over 25 markets.
