I have o say, if you dont like Apples control, lack of Flash, or anytning else on the iPhone,then you have one choice…dont buy it.
I love my iPhone,so I accept what it is.If I didnt,I would have bought something else.

^ I LIKE THIS REPLY. android and apple will continue to battle for title of “smart phone” or at least best OS. But i doubt either will take “BEST”. everyone will like one or the other. i work in best buy mobile and in reality i would say the 4.0 OS will have multitasking and video chat. the iphone 4g will have about 500-600 mhz proccesser 5 mpx camera and 3 mpx for video chat. other than that everything will be the same outside of storage space and the “look” of the phone. possibly a different size and shape just to make more money off of us.

Nope, no flash on iPhone.

Steve Jobs told us that Flash sucks and will never be supported on iPhone, but that they support HTML5 instead.

More and more websites are leaving flash for what it is.. Flash is beautiful but not “green” enough.

It should be upto the owner of the iPhone if multi-tasking is enabled or not.

Apple should not dictate what features we should get due to the fact the battery will die quicker.

If iPhone wants to dominate the smart phone market, then it should have the features that all the other phones have, such as flash and multi-tasking.

Well, technically it does if you enable dynamic paging… but you don’t need much space for that, so the increased storage capacity is still mostly irrelevant.

Apple has its reasons for not allowing multitasking, the main one of these being battery life. If you’re running three programs in the background while checking your stock report, the battery life is going to suffer. We may complain about the lack of mulitasking, but right now there are just as many people saying they’d sacrifice that ability for a longer lasting battery.

The iphone is way too closed for you to even consider the notion of flash player on it. Apple would never allow it, because that’s too open for them. They want to control everything about the iphone. They even make you pay for firmware updates to unlock capabilities the device can already do. I’m sorry but a company should let you do what you want with the thing. Just look at their app store; everything must live up to Apple’s morals and standards to be allowed in. That isn’t how America is run, granted you should have quality standards, but content standards? No. If it offends you, don’t download it. The people should make their own moral decisions, not some company. I like Apple’s products, just not their control over everything. It’s as if they are a dictator and we are supposed to blindly follow. We should be able to fully customize our devices, since we spent so much on them. Android is the clear choice when it comes to this. Android will overtake the iphone in 5-10 years. No question about it.
