iPad is a disappointment
The iPad which Apple announced today has caused disappointment to many. Why did the iPad cause iDisappointment to people? Well, that’s because the iPad is missing the following features:
- iPad Camera – There isn’t any camera at all. None in the FRONT or BACK!
- iPad Flash – There is no flash support because Apple won’t approve Flashplayer.
- iPad Multi-tasking – There is absolutely no multi-tasking. This is unacceptable for a Tablet that starts at a $499 price-point.
- iPad USB ports – There is no USB ports, so you can’t plug in your USB drive to transfer photos to it.

Looks every single person on this page hate apple. Well before judging just wait till its releases then go to mac store mess around with it and then decide if its the most expensive piece of crap. I owned 2 iphones and a mac book, I judged the iphone when it came out to be BS but looking at the evolution of this device the sold me the other one without me realizing
I can’t believe how much fanboi’s are flaming idiots. Apply fanboi logic to cars… buy the iCar and only be able to drive on roads that apple built, or approved. If you live on a non approved street the car stalls and steers you away from your house.
So what does fanboi do? Calls it a feature. “With my iCar I can drive every where faster than an IBM style PC and I get EXERCISE. I am healthier than ever with my iCar.”

It’s like a iPod Touch for walgreens that goes in the isle with the giant universal remote and the giant phone, and giant calculator for old nearly blind people.
I’m really iDissapointed in many iProducts. How can my free sprint phone do voice dialing, and proper A2DP with track controls, but the $300 iPhone 3g can’t? Hell, even my $100 windows mobile phone can do it… where’s the simple features that cheap phones get that the iDevices fall short on?

And my biz has just taken off!
As soon as a customer calls….I break open the iPad… No waiting to load..(like a pc) and I start adding them in my contacts.
Then we put them in the icalender to make a estimate.
Then I get in my truck when time to go and go to contacts and tab there address and boom… It takes me there… The I snap a few shots with my iPhone of what they want. By the time I knock on the door Those pics have upload to my iPad gallery which also contains a detailed library of all my jobs performed. I can also flip through pics of plants that would look nice or even look up plants they thought about online. From there from my iPad I can email a estimate right from my iPad..with pics of there project and terms. Emails can show a lot more product and pics of what you can do…
Hmmm ..how much extra does a company benefit from this Info? How about 17000$ from 6000$ the first moth this piece of shit came out… How about you all stop bitching about what’s not out there and put things that are together so we get what we want! This iPad is going to wipe out those bulky computers and laptops… Why sit at a desk… Sit on the couch or toilet or outside..doctors office… Whatever.. Take what you can.. Sooner than you think all your little other toys will be here. If you think this iPad is shit.. Don’t buy it… Go buy a better one. Just send me … Go apple!
You are very smart guy sir, I ll give you that. However . You can do all things that you mentioned with an iphone or android phone or any smart phone. You dont need a expensive shit for these.

If ur gunna spend this much money on an ipad I think apple should just make it into a much better device with more capabilities. Adding a camera and a webcam wouldn’t even cause the thing to be any thicker! As for the flash player… It is a must have thing, u can’t do anything on the Internet without it – it even show the need for it in apples introduction video! It also needs a flat back so u can type on it without having it move all over.
Apple sud not do this … No web cam, no flash .. If apple is going to sell this device as a smaller computer they sud do better then that.. I hv always been dissapointed iPhone not having many cool features now this ?? Sad v sad… Bs apple and it’s money eating owners.. Suck suckers..
No flash? No camera? No phone calls? No third party apps? No USB ports? No multitasking? Yeah, definitely getting it, rather then spending it on a laptop, what a stupid move that would be.
That great sucking sound are the fanboi’s holding their breath to buy the giant iPod touch, oops, iPad and say how truly great it is… no camera front or back, no ports, only Wifi? And only on the appropriate model? Buy a more expensive one get more features. My Palm 755p does a great calendar (multiple alarms, repeated alarms after a main every 5 minutes, adjustable volume and types of alarms, I can record a sound and make that my alarm). Apple computers are great, but their rabid desire to CONTROL the user experience is nothing more than sucking blood from a stone (or money from their loyal users and the new users they steal by their flash… oops, no flash on for Apple).
I think the only people complaining are broke. It is a great tool and flash will be added very soon. Fuck a built in camera, buy a nikon. GO MAKE SOME MONEY AND STOP COMPLAINING!
It’s unlikely flash will be added anytime soon. Apple hates Adobe at the moment. Two kids fighting in the sandbox.
Not broke at all. Just not brain dead enough to waste the money I do have on this. And Apple has openly said they will never use Flash. I think things like this are like the new Hummers…you have them simply because you’re lacking somewhere and need to feel important. Pathetic really.
Why buy an ipad for 499$ when you can get a laptop for 499$!!!!
I had a chance to play with an iPad over the weekend. It is a super-cool device.
But, it really seems to be a solution in search of a problem. It really didn’t do anything that the Touch won’t do, if you’re looking for a pocket computer (other than having a larger screen.)
My main complaint was just the overall size and weight of the device. It’s pretty lightweight when you pick it up, but hold it in one hand while using the other to work on it, and your wrist soon starts to hurt. I can’t imagine carrying something like this all day, holding on to it while working. My wrist was killing me after a half-hour, and I noticed I want to jab at the screen, which causes even more hurt. That, coupled with the “where do I put it?” makes me wonder just how well it will do when the initial shock wears off.
It’s cool and shiny, but it’s not going to replace a Touch if you want a pocket computing device. If you don’t want a pocket computing device, there are a million Palm units out there with superb handwriting recognition.

I was disappointed that it lacked an Intel processor as well as OS x…. I was hoping it to be more of a tablet PC type deal, not an oversized iPod touch… to me its as effective as the Nintendo DS XL I just saw advertised. Hopefully they’ll update software to make it more unique.

I like apple I think they make fairly good devices. However I have just purchased a IPAD 32 Gig 3g and it is really only a over sized Itouch. No Flash is just criminal you can only view about 60 per cent of Websites. It doesn’t do anything very well. I agree it is a complete farce and a rip off. I would have been better too burn the 900 dollars I have spent on it. I am hanging out that they will release flash player. If not I think it will become a nice paper weight and a failure like Beta did verses VHS in the early 80′s.
To me, the current IPad is nothing more than a scaled up Iphone. Someone was asleep at the switch when it came to the camera, USB ports and several other major issues I will not go into. Let’s hope that when the next Generation of the Ipad comes out someone other than Jobs, will be making the decisions about what will be in, on or attached to it.
All Apple has done, is to drive customers that are starting to migrate from the Windows Platform, back to the Windows Platform. I know, back in 1988 I walked away from Apple and swore I would never return. Well I am back, but not for long if the next Generation of IPad doesn’t have improvements like, Flash, a better browser and e-mail program. Not even to mention the items I listed above.

because Apple KNOWS all this things!! that it has no camera,ipad flash,no multitasking and many other stuff !!!! BUTTT they just want to sell these ipads so they can earn money and then after there will come a new ipad for example IPAD WITH FLASH AND MULTITASKING with no camera for example SO THEY WILL EARN AGAIN SOME MONEY AND THEN THEY WILL RELEASE AGAIN ANNOTHER NEW IPAD WITH CAMERA ETC.
