Apple may announce Verizon iPhone 4G on January 27
Apple is holding an event on January 27, at 10 AM Pacific time/1 PM Eastern time in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco. I don’t know what this will be about, but it may be about the upcoming rumored Verizon iPhone 4G smartphone. This image above was sent to people who were invited to the event (Note: I added the Verizon iPhone picture on top of it). WSJ and other sites are predicting that Apple is launching a tablet called the iSlate.

if you added the Verizon iPhone image, then how is it possible to make the assumption the iPhone will be launched? Without the image, it indicates NOTHING!! So whats the point of this (and adding the image) other than to continue to stir up rumors
There are many rumors about a Verizon iPhone 4G, and that’s why I added that on top of the official invitation image. January 27 is not far away, so we will find out soon enough if this is true or not.
I have to agree with Nicole on this one.. without the added iphone image, the picture doesn’t lead toward anything to do with the 4G. I think it’s more likely that this is the iSlate. “Come see our latest creation” doesn’t sound like they’ve updated an older product which would be the case with an iPhone 4G.. it sounds like they are unveiling a totally new creation… Then again I might be totally wrong.. at any rate, i still think adding the image of the Verizon iPhone image does nothing but stir rumors, as Nicole said.

The invitation says “Come see our latest creation” So it really does foreshadow them releasing something or announcing a new idea or product. If its a release then it could very possibly be the new iPhone 4G, or maybe the iSlate. So just because there wasnt an iPhone in the original image of the invitation doesnt mean its not very possible. What are the chances anyways? What else has Apple been working on besides that? (and the iSlate)
I actually think the the iphone will be available for verizon in the near future. My reasoning is this…I have been a VZ customer for about 10 years and when the iphone came out the vz employees had nothing good to say about it. In fact all they did was push the Blackberry. However, if you go into Verizon now and ask what is better the Droid or the iphone they only give you the pros of the Droid. I feel that if it is possible for vz to sell the iphone how could they bad mouth a potenial future product.

Ok here is the deal with verizon and the apple iphone. Apple does have a contract with AT&T however just like any laws with copy rights, trade marks etc the product must vary by 1 thing. For apple to sale the iphone to VW it must change the original iphone by one little thing so that there is no void in the contract between at&t and apple. Its like when you buy a generic drug all they do is put a new name on the pill. Apple is proposing a iphone like to VW however VW wants to take over the service calls and apple does not want that. apple wants you to contact their tech support when something happens to your iphone and so does VW. this is the main reason why both parties have not aggreed to terms. However, apple is introducing a iphone like to VW it’s now up to VW to accept or decline. Inwhich i believe they will accept because they saw how well at&t did with it when it first came out.

There not going to redo thousands of apps to modify the CDMA version spend a bunch of money to re modify the CDMA version… Apple wants to extend iPhone all over the world…. That’s what they picked GSM. World technology CDMA is not….. Why would they ruin the iPhone and send it to verizon crippling it’s features, think it’s not going to happen and iPhone 4g?!!? Uhh no networks are even ready for 4g barley not even half of the united states has It maybe sprint but again CDMA
“Apple and ATT will renew, common sense”? I think ATT feels that way no question. But wouldn’t the common sense option be for Apple to offer the iphone to Verizon? The LARGEST wireless company in the US? The numbers, profit wise, that Apple could make with Verizon would be astronomical. That is what business is about after all. Will it happen soon? Perhaps. Evenotually? Absolutely. The demand and potential is far too great for Apple.
Lol, again nonesense just like this article, dude apple makes millions already, they have what’s called a buisness relationship with AT&T, they don’t how ever with verizon, they offered verizon the chance to take the iPhone when it first came out, verizon passed it up, btw verizon sux, you have to pay to switch yourobiles between two phones u already own, AT&T you don’t, when I had verizon calls would drop constantly, AT&T subtract about half of what verizon dropped and that’s AT&T…I’m sorry AT&T IMO is way better then verizon…AT&T is actually the largest of all the GPRS based networks, and sprint/nextel is even larger then verizon…verizon is all hype and false advertisment…anyways I can’t say what apple will do since there is no public information present on whether apple will be renewing their contract with AT&T or going with verizon…again show me proof not byast opinion
I wish I could agree. I just got an iPhone after having Verizon phones for over a decade. Now with AT&T, calls go straight to voicemail whenever I’m inside my house. I can’t make or receive calls from home on the iPhone, so I don’t think AT&T is the superior network. I haven’t dropped a call on Verizon in a very long time. I love the phone, but I’m returning it and going back to Verizon.

Does anyone else see the possibility of various colorex 4G iPhones? The 4G announcment was rumored for this event, people have begged apple for other colors, anx there is a strong emphasis on color in the add. Wouldn’t you agree?

Not that I am in the know about everything, but some of these posts make me cringe. Ya, I think adding the iphone pic was pointless. I have heard rumor of a 4g iphone for verizon. Zack, you are way off base. A cdma iphone would not require modification of any apps. Haven’t you noticed that there are android phones on both gsm and cdma networks running the same apps? Also, verizons 4g lte network will be launching this year with sim cards, and any 4g phone will be global. bby, you lie, best buy employees are not being leaked with iphone info. and louie, i am a vzw employee, we know nothing other than what we find online. we dont bash the iphone because it is a nice phone, we bash at&t because of their network. ok, im done…
Lol u bash AT&T because of network I bash verizon because network and lack of customer service…sorry bro AT&T has better customer service plus I get way better signal here in Houston, and when I lived in Cali, I got better signal in areas where my sisters verizon network was supposed to be “3g” enabled with max signal by y’alls map…so thus verizon lies about their coverage…fail
Look at consumer reports testifying to VzW superiority over all carriers in every market they tested when it comes to network, customer service, overall service, and so on… especially Houston. You must work for at&t to be that biased or just plain ignoring facts.
iphone should stay with AT&T… I had Verizon for 2 weeks and there network SUX… I own an ambulance company and I need reliable Cell Service and Verizon was not reliable at all…
I know that GSM is better then CDMA. so there is no reason to downgrade the iphone to an older system…
My question is: I have the newest model of a Japanese Phone (Ntt Docomo Foma N-02B) and it works on both GSM and WCDMA. Currently Use it in the USA… I can connect to T-Mobile and AT&T and use it with no problems at 3G speeds. This Phone also has WiFi Phone Feature that Uses WiFi as an IP phonenumber when Signal is not available. Havent figured this feature out yet.
What relation does CDMA and WCDMA have???
I am on both networks- verizon and AT&T for work and play in the NYC-NJ area (work in ny, live in nj).
Verizon has less drops and better signal period. NY is pretty close, Verizon still superior. NJ Verizon is clearly better. When I vacation up by lake george I get very poor signal on ATT and good signal on Verizon.

This is my first time to this site to look into Apple rumors. It will also be my last. I can’t believe that someone would try to back up his own rumor with a doctored photo. The only thing distinguishing Hans from the World Weekly News is his disclosure that he doctored the photo. Is Bat-Boy going to be at the unveiling?
