Set up WiFi on iPod touch and iPhone
iPhone | Hans | December 26, 2009 at 5:10 pmIf you are an Apple iPod touch user, you will need to set up WiFi in order to access the Internet. iPhone users don’t need WiFi, but they can still enable it if they want to. This post will show how WiFi can be enabled.
1. Go to the WiFi settings

Open the Settings application and go to General – > Network -> WiFi. If WiFi is off make sure you turn the slider to on.
2. Connecting to a network

To connect to a network, tap on the network you want to connect to. If the network is password protected, you will need to enter in the password. Once you’ve done this you’ll be connected to the Internet.
3. Testing the connection
You can test your connection by opening the Safari web browser and navigating to http://www.google.com.

i cant figure out how to find the password and username either. If anyone figures it out, please help me
The password is the passkey that is used in your router for your wireless.
Log into your router, look under “wireless security” ect.
There you will find a 64 character password that is nominated to connect to your router, check MAC filtering and DHCP settings also. Use WPA1/2 for best protection.
Log in to your router with a web browser… Your router I.P is like 192.168.1.254 etc. (check for your router brand/model).
My iPod said unable to connect after i typed in the correct password on step one. why is this???
