Nexus One: Google phone picture revealed
Nexus One, Phones | Hans | December 13, 2009 at 1:35 am
More information about the Google Nexus Phone which Google sent to it’s employees just keeps getting leaked. I guess Google didn’t require their employees to sign any NDA’s (nondisclosure agreements) so they are allowed to post pictures and reviews of it on the web. Most of the information we’ve discovered about the Nexus One has been posted on Twitter already.
The picture above was posted by Cory O’Brien on Twitter. Here is what he had to say about the phone:
Google Phone = iPhone + a little extra screen and a scroll wheel. Great touch screen, and Android.
So far everyone that has leaked details about this phone has had a positive attitude about it, do you think this could be the iPhone killer?

i think the funny thing is, the guy who took this picture looks like he’s taking it with an iPhone. At least he thinks it’s the iPhone killer…
It might be the posible iPhone killer, but, we have to take consideration about apple AppStore.
Let’s face it, for any mobile phone you need to google search, read lots on forums, wait for rapidshare to admit you and watch for compatibility with your phone’s brand and model.
Apple came out with app store so anyone could find anything on a simgle place, for a single phone, and with easy downloads.
The only way another phone can beat the iPhone or iPod touch is having their own app store.
Tough, but true.
Not really. Well, I used my iphone’s appstore a lot at first, but after a while, I mostly use some casual games that doesn’t need long loadings and where you don’t need to save (like puzzle games for exemple), and some software (the real deal) like ebuddy, facebook and movies.
All the mentionned apps are also on the android appstore for the softwares (usefull apps), and most of what people use. The only plus for apple is the games, but since we mainly play casual games and not the big games out there, the android store can have all of them ( I don’t know the android store much ) already. Like a tetris game, a “traffic jam” game, crosswords, sudoku, and small other games like that.
Google will never win against something like apple (with all the ads and the “I WANT AN IPHONE” factor).
But it’s not because of the app store, and not because of the phone itself. I will surely buy a google phone after my current iphone’s plan is finished.
The funny thing is the guys is taking the picture of the google phone using iphone, then there is a blackberry one of the curve models on the table & a nokia sort of looking device in the top part…whats the whole point?
Some sort of a masquerade picture.
the phone at the top is an LG EnV 2. You guys funny. these new lines of phones, such as the Droid, Droid Eris, The Google My Touch 3g (HTC Magic), and The Nexus One aren’t ment to be iphone killlers, but simply to but the creaters in the smartphone businsess. Motorola just released the droid, and they are releasing a few more phones. those of whitch u can change which carrier you have by going to settings. anyway, google wont try to “kill” the iPhone, because they own AdMob which is mobile addverting, which is huge considering the 50 million owners of iphones who see advertizments.
