Jailbreak iPod touch 3.1.2
It’s Christmas, and I’m sure a lot of people got an Apple iPod touch as a gift. If you own an iPod touch, you may want to consider jailbreaking it. Why should you jailbreak? Check our jailbreak post for more info. Jailbreaking your iPod touch is pretty easy with blackra1n. Just follow the steps below!
Jailbreak iPod touch 3.1.2 tutorial
1. Download the free iPhone OS 3 toolbar (on Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari) and install it.
2. Click the Downloads button and click on the Download blackra1n RC3 link to download it.
3. Connect your iPod touch to your computer and open the blackra1n application.
4. Click the make it ra1n button.
5. blackra1n will now put your iPod Touch in recovery mode and display the above image of Geohot. While in recovery mode, blackra1n will jailbreak your iPod touch.
6. Once blackra1n is done jailbreaking, your iPod Touch will reboot and you should see the blackra1n icon on your iPod touch screen.
7. Tap the blackra1n icon to open it. You have the option of installing either Cydia, Icy, or Rock. Select the applications you would like to install and then click the Install button to install them.
8. Once you’ve installed the applications, restart your iPod touch. To do that, just hold down the top button until the Slide to power off message appears. Slide the button, and wait for your device to turn off. Turn on your device and you should now see the applications you selected on your iPod Touch.
What now?
Congratulations, you have successfully jailbroken your iPod Touch, give yourself a pat on the back! Now you have access to a lot more applications and modifications that you will never see in the App Store. omg wow i was going to do the jailbreak thingy but i see all the problems ppl are havin so there is no way im doing this LMFAO my ipod is way to important to mess up just for some apps!!!!!!!!!!!
my cousin has got it perfect, he can change themes, backgrounds, free apps, evrything for nothing, instead of iTunes it’s dTunes, u can download anything 4 free! it’s brilliant

I have had my itouch jailbroken before and now it’s jailbroken also…the only main problem I have been worrying about is dat…wehn I turn off my ipod and turn it back on it stays on the “connect to itunes/restore” screen lol and wont start up…of course If I jailbreak it again it will bypass it but is it really worth it when you’re not close to a computer and ur battery is low lol?…does anyone have any answers for this?
well in order for you ripod to stay jailbroken you must keep it on. my freind kept turning his on and off like that and his completely stopped working(he could’t jailbreak it anymore. i suggest getting a wall charger. that swhat i did

Okay guide, but that blackra1n BS just doesn’t cut it for anyone who wishes to ACTUALLY JAILBREAK their i-Pod. No offense to Dorian Gray, err um, GeoHot but the program is great…don’t get me wrong. However don’t let your battery die, and and don’t completely shut the unit off. Crappy causalities for using this program I suppose, but annoying none-the-less. Hey, get those fixed and I’ll donate, host, whatever to get this program out there, why?…cause I like the idea and it’s simple as fuck. That’s what we Americans are all about…press this and make that happen. -JL
I cant get it to jailbreak anymore. I forgot that I cannot update the software cos of the jailbreak and so I allowed it to update. After that I cant jailbreak it again.

Screw THIS. my friends ipod touch has got all kinds of problems. it takes like forever to open any app, it plays music all distorted and it breaks down if used for more than an hour. But mine works fine.
It just made my ipod black screened i am so mad!!!

I am scared … I have mixed emotions. I know people who have jail broken their iPhone’s and they love it, which of course, makes me want it. But I have heard many pros & cons .. should i stay on the safe side??
