Jailbreak iPod touch 3.1.2
It’s Christmas, and I’m sure a lot of people got an Apple iPod touch as a gift. If you own an iPod touch, you may want to consider jailbreaking it. Why should you jailbreak? Check our jailbreak post for more info. Jailbreaking your iPod touch is pretty easy with blackra1n. Just follow the steps below!
Jailbreak iPod touch 3.1.2 tutorial
1. Download the free iPhone OS 3 toolbar (on Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari) and install it.
2. Click the Downloads button and click on the Download blackra1n RC3 link to download it.
3. Connect your iPod touch to your computer and open the blackra1n application.
4. Click the make it ra1n button.
5. blackra1n will now put your iPod Touch in recovery mode and display the above image of Geohot. While in recovery mode, blackra1n will jailbreak your iPod touch.
6. Once blackra1n is done jailbreaking, your iPod Touch will reboot and you should see the blackra1n icon on your iPod touch screen.
7. Tap the blackra1n icon to open it. You have the option of installing either Cydia, Icy, or Rock. Select the applications you would like to install and then click the Install button to install them.
8. Once you’ve installed the applications, restart your iPod touch. To do that, just hold down the top button until the Slide to power off message appears. Slide the button, and wait for your device to turn off. Turn on your device and you should now see the applications you selected on your iPod Touch.
What now?
Congratulations, you have successfully jailbroken your iPod Touch, give yourself a pat on the back! Now you have access to a lot more applications and modifications that you will never see in the App Store. if your ipod is updated to 3.1.3 it won’t work it did that to mine to it only works on 3.1.2
u need to add more detailed instructions on how to do this

hey everyone listen up!!!
i have and ipod touch 3.1.2 and yes every time you turn it off and on, it will have the pic of connection to itunes so plug it into your computer and click make it rain it will jailbrake it and ur still have all the stuff you had before you have to do this everytime it gets turned off.
and jim and dom its only takes like 2 mins at the most so if it takes longer then its frozen.
n e more questions just ask me ive jailbroken mine with no problems apart from having to re-jailbrake it everytime it runs out of battery.
why do i have to continue to jailbreak when
this happens i shouldnt have to do this constantly.

where do i click downloads at?
on the toolbar if u keep going to the far right u’ll see an arrow sort of things (looks like this – >> , but smaller) and click it and downloads will come up , click on downloads and then a box will appear , scroll down , there will be a link , click on the link and ur download should begin , well 1st u will be taken to the official blackra1n website and then u follow instructions from then on , i hoped this helped u ..xx

I used this once to Jailbreak my ipod and it worked find so i took it off my computer and then i put it back on a couple days ago to jailbreak some other ppls ipods and it would never reboot
will it deleat all my songs if i get this?
i had a jailbroken ipod touch 2g 2.2.1 firmware
but I updated to 3.2.1
and I jailbroke it again using the steps above.
I completed all the steps without any problem so I assumed that the jailbreak was a success. But now all the free apps I have are not working anymore. it says it cannot be sync.

i agree, if apple wanted us to get apps for free, they’d make them free to begin with. i hope that if you tards get caught with ur hacked ipods you get fined or something, because doing this only hurts yourself.

Ok i have a problem with jailbreaking.
The first day i got my ipod, i downloaded Blackra1n.
Then i click on “make it rain”. Then i saw a icon on my ipod.
But i couldn’t connect to the internet so i deleted it and got this message which i forgot.
(That was the first time i did it)
The second time(after i deleted blackra1n).
I did the same things but after i click on make it ra1n, it goes to itunes and says “we have detected your ipod in recover mode, u must connect to itunes to use it again” or suntin like that. Also my ipod’s screen goes black when there shud have been that face with all the ipods around it.
So now i have to recover my ipod everytime now. Blackra1n wont work anymore i think. Can anyone please help meh?
and the software version i have is 3.1.3 Please help?
