Download and install Cydia on iPhone or iPod touch
iPhone | Hans | December 25, 2009 at 2:01 pmCydia is an iPhone app created by Saurik. It allows you to download iPhone apps that are not officially available in the Apple App Store. If you recently performed a jailbreak, follow the Cydia guide below.
1. Jailbreak you iPhone or jailbreak your iPod touch using blackra1n first. After installing Cydia through blackra1n, you should see the above Cydia icon on your homescreen. Tap the Cydia icon to launch it.
2. When Cydia first launches it will ask you to choose what mode you want to use. Just tap User (Graphical Only). You can go back and change this later if you wish to.
3. Cydia will now check for updates and present you with the above prompt saying something like 2 Essential Upgrades. Tap the “Upgrade Essential” button.
4. Now Cydia will ask you to confirm your selection. Tap the Confirm button in the top right.
5. Cydia will now start updating. Once the update is complete it will show a “Complete” message. You will need to restart Cydia, tap the Close Cydia (Restart) button.
That’s it, now Cydia is installed on your iPhone or iPod touch!

how to download and put into iphone?pls help..
mines not working for some reason I got Blackra1n installed and jailbroke it but when I try to install cydia it says its respringing then I have to unlock it and theres no cydia icon. Anyone know why?

i used blackrain..but instead of showing me cydia to install..it just says “check your internet connection”. safari n everything else works fine. any other way to get cydia installed on your iphone?

when i install blackra1n it say you have succesfully jailbroken your ipod but when i go to the home screen there is no cydia.. please help me i want this badly
I have Windows 7 and a iphone 3GS and I downloaded blackra1n on my PC. When I hit the “make it ra1n” button to download it, a popup came up that said “blackra1n has stopped working”. Anybody know how to fix this so I can put blackra1n on my iphone?
right click on Blackra1n icon and click properties, the go to compatibility and check the run this program in compatibility mode for box “windows xp (service pack 2)”,
then apply and ok and that’s it

i need this on my ipod touch
i used black rain to jailbreak i think. how can i tell if it’s jailbroken? i used black but my screen on the ipod after it said “done, wait for reboot” went black and just stayed that way till i unplugged it. it never rebooted to the install cydia screen. any other way to download?

I am from India and I have just brought an iphone. I am not really tech savvy but whatever I have read online. I think my phone is unlocked as I am able to call and msg. But the installer application is not there thru which I get cydia. Do I need to jailbreak my phone to get cydia?is there any chance my phone would get locked if I try doing it?and what is easiest and risk-free method to get it? My phone version is3.1.2. Any help would be appreciated.please help.
hey there i badly need help. my cydia asked me about essential download and i have slected it. then in the middle of downloading it stopped and now it doesnt work at all. whatever i do with cydia it says
“method http has died unexpectedly!
method /usr/lib/apt/methods/http did not start correctly”

I have downloaded blackrain but carnt get it on my phone I have a iPhone 3GS with the new softwere on it 4.0.1 when I press let it rain it loads my phone but stays on some screen an nothin happens it says on the computer it’s done and let phone reboot but nothin happens some1 message me who nos how to fix this plz kylemccarthy2009@hotmail.co.uk thanks
