Palm Pre webOS 1.2.1 update fixes iTunes syncing

Palm has just issued a webOS 1.2.1 update for the Palm Pre. This update is 38 MB. If you’re a Palm Pre user, you can go to the Updates app, and download and install it right now. This new update fixes iTunes 9.0.1 syncing!
When Apple first released iTunes 9 during the September 9 event, they blocked the Palm Pre from syncing with iTunes. This is not the first time Apple did this either. Apple keeps blocking the Palm Pre with each and every iTunes update, but Palm has always ended up fixing the syncing in the end. It makes sense for Apple to block the Palm Pre, after all it’s a competitor to the iPhone.
Do you think Apple is wasting their time blocking the Palm Pre with each iTunes update, or do you think Palm deserves it? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Not to get side track But. Can the iPhone get flash player. Damn already
i think palm pre deserves to get blocked sense their no way connected with apple. and its always been that only apple products cans connect
Are you on something that has clouded your mind or just young. I was syncing other mp3 players with itunes before there ever was an iphone.
To all of you that actually pay for content from itunes I say you are all sheep!
I’m going to fire up my linux box and sync my songs with amarok and go buy some new music from anyone but apple.
Can these guys just come to an agreement? Seriously, they’re going back and forth. Palm enables, apple disables, palm re-enables, apple re-disables. We’re all getting tired of all these iTunes updates just to block the Pre. Yes, I know there are “Bug fixes” in the iTunes updates, but for god’s sake, just sue them or agree on something. Palm’s a great company, and goodness knows they can come up with a program to sync with the Pre. It wouldn’t be too hard for them to come up with a program that can read the iTunes library, but there’s no need to make the Pre look like a fake iPod. Just stop it, guys. We’ve all had enough.
I hope Apple release another update to block it!!!!
Palm, use your own music player!!!!
Sprint needs to create their own Software Sync for your stupid phone is not be competition for iPhone!!!
@Grimster,
The ruling to which you refer was an administrative panel at the USB trade group (I’m too lazy to look up the actual name; it’s the organization that hands out IDs). It was not an issue before a court of law. The organization has no legal power whatsoever.
I hate palm for this reason using other things for there own stuff. If they were so smart they should come out with there own music player.
