I have used the jailbreak called spirit on my 3g with 3.1.2 os. I have never been able to get blackra1n to work. You can download the program here: http://spiritjb.com/

You may have to restore your phone to a previous operating system to get the blackrain jailbreak off. I would try the spirit first without the restore and see what happens.

If you have any problems give me a quick e-mail and I will send you instructions on how to restore the phone to whatever OS you want by changing the commands.

hi guys, i would like to upgrade my firmware from 3.1 to 3.1.2 as i need some app which required to run on 3.1.2

but i am quite confused abuot this,
i owned singpore version unlocked 3g 16gb
firmware 3.1 (7c144)
baseband 5.11.07
iphone 3g

can anyone tell me where can i find the tutorial for jailbreaking according my current status of my iphone?

I used Blackra1n once and it was great! Then, I updated and it doesn’t work anymore. Everytime I download, an Apple pops up and then it shows that I need to plug into iTunes(which is running), and then I get a black screen of death and have to reboot it.

Tried many times with iTunes closed or open, restoring phone, then trying again. Nothing works. Really frustrating. I NEED internet Tethering!!!

how do i change to 3.1.2 without going in to dfu mode because my power button dosent work, i updated to 3.1.3 and now my iphone is showing..”no sim card installed” smh i had my tmobile sim in at 1st but wen i updated none of thaa jailbraking software workedd..

mr Y you have to click the blackra1n and make it do again cause with the latest rom we have to do it every time when phone witches off. Still searching for solve this problem….

i have a problem with the blackra1n
after jailbreaking the 3gs it rebooted and shows me the iTunes sign..
what should i do??
