Okay went through a teardown of the ipod touch 3rd gen and discovered that there is a 6mm x 6mm x 3mm area! Which means there is indeed room for a camera on it. May not be of Iphone quality but why does the little guy (nano) get so much more attention that the Touch!? Apple you kinda suck for this move! It’s an obvious move! I guess once you get cash you become stupid and stop caring about customers huh?! If you have a valid reason i’d like to hear it!

i`ve been researching more and there is a video and pictures leaked for an iPod Touch 3rd generation to have a camera. do you think this might be close to possible?

i was looking forward to the iPod Touch 3rd Generation but it just has the same features as the iPod Touch 2nd Generation except for the bigger memory space. I was most definitely looking forward to the so called announced “camera” of the 3rd generation but it went to the Ipod Nano 5th Generation which i thought was a bummer. i do like the Touch better than a Nano. C`mon apple. do we have to wait another year for another touch, well, if there`s gonna be one.

You sound like an absolute idiot. The major thing differentiating the ipod touch from the iPhone is a camera (and the 3G and ability to make calls of course). Also I heard that the ipod touch was supposed to have a camera but something went wrong with it and it had to be removed, although i find that highly unlikely because it runs the exact same system almost as the iPhone, with different firmware.

lol apple sucks.not the whole thing but they just made a MAAAAAJOR mistake and disappointment.NO FREAKIN CAMERA ON THE TOUCH????? APPLE THAT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN LIKE 3 TIMES THE SALES!!!!!instead you do the nano…with an fm radio!!!!!!why did u spend this whole event on improving the nano???people expect changes to the touch!!!!and microphones for only 32 and 64gb?wat a rip.i have only like 10gb of stuff i can cut down on.and why should i shell out another $100 for 4 times the memory of the 8gb and for only a mic?well i mean cmon.it would be worth it for the camera.but i mean man.u better have another event 6 months later for the camera…
