iPhone MMS not working?

Today AT&T released the iPhone MMS Update for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users. Is iPhone MMS not working for you? I’ve read comments where people have been saying that MMS is not working for them. I just tried the MMS update on my iPhone 3GS running on iPhone 3.0.1 firmware and the MMS update worked fine for me.
If you have iPhone 3.1 firmware, then follow the enable iPhone 3G/iPhone 3GS MMS update through iTunes guide. If you have iPhone 3.0 or iPhone 3.0.1 firmware then follow the enable MMS on iPhone 3.0 or iPhone 3.0.1 guide.
Feel free to share any MMS problems that you have in the comments below! If you can’t get it to work, you may want to try again later. The most common thing that most people are forgetting to do is reboot! Remember to reboot your iPhone after applying the MMS update and it should work for you.

I tried this and it didn’t work. At the risk of blowing away my jailbreak I upgraded to 3.1 and did everything again from scratch. Still didn’t work… Called ATT and they had me on a first gen iPhone in their system so my MMS wasn’t turned on. I had to give them my IMEI and they had to reset my voicemail and all that fun stuff. It’s working now but I’m really missing my jailbreak with sbsettings.
Note: It takes time to send pics via MMS. My 3gs gets to 90% and hangs for a bit before sending.
Having the same problem. Any fixes?
JB 3.0.1. 5.5 carrier file. Can recieve, sends freeze at the 90% also.
Called AT&T and had them remove and re-add messaging, still can’t send.
Called AT&T again, said possible problem for multiple phone accounts where your line is the main line. I smell bullshit.
Going to try carrier file 5.1 later.
I’ve. Done all of those. Can recieve not send
The last ten percent of the message being sent takes a couple seconds, it works fine with me…
I have a 3g running on 3.1 and I had mms working on the ipcc update before the official release. After the release, didn’t work, so I downloaded AT&T’s release thru iTunes and it works like a charm!
I know the jailbreak for 3.1 on mac is out but does anyone have a clue when the 3.1 jailbreak will be out for windows users?
I have 3GS with 3.1 and iTunes 9.1.1 and the MMS works great for pictures and video for both send and receive. Make sure you have the latest updates.
Now I’m ready for a jailbreak for 3.1 for Windows.
Works sometimes for me. Maybe At&t network to busy can’t handle all the traffic. I’m running 3.0 and jailbreak.
For the punks out there that says mms is working for 3.1 its a lie in the update for the iphone 3.1 theres a glitch in the software that wont let people send mms for AT&T apple called one of the people i know that works for att and said it was there fault so stop crying its not AT&T fault this time so grow up
To all of you who are having trouble with mms. AT&T stated that OS 3.1 is required to use the mms. I have mms on 3.1 and it works fast and elegantly. You must be in os 3.1 for the mms to become active!’
It’s working fine but on 3G not WiFi. Take about 30 seconds to send and to get about 45 seconds. Finally we got MMS on iPhone ;)
Hi I’m in Turkey, I tried new mms system. When I try to send mms, I receive error, but I asked to the recipient she got messages but she said the device cannot display them. I think there must be another reason for this. Because we don’t have much settings for mms, maybe that’s the reason. for example the mms format or the picture size etc.
@kurt i have 3.0 and can send and receive mms fine, i didnt have to get 3.1!!
mine wouldnt work and i talked to att and got it fixed. I had to take my sim car out and put it in another iphone that worked. It still wouldnt send but when i placed it back in my phone it began to work. That something to try…good luck
Was working for me days before mms was released. It only works over 3g for me though. Gets stuck at 90% on wifi
This totally worked for me, in a matter of minutes. Only issue that i ran into was that it ran into safe mode after the first reboot. Had to select the respring option that popped up to get everything back. Then i viewed that my apps from the app store was gone, which one of my icons moved to the other page. I moved it back and all is great… Small issues but easy fix..
You do not need 3.1 to get mms working. My jb 3.0.1 3GS is working fine. Had to call AT&T to fix problem on their end. Setup five phones on Friday. Mix of 3G an 3GS running 3.0, 3.0.1, and 3.1. Use profile 5.0 for OS 3.0 and 3.0.1 or profile 5.1 on 3.1. Still get red !’s call AT&T and tell them to look beyond Phoenix for a problem.
I have a jailbroke iPhone 3g with 3.0 firmware. MMS works if I’m not connected to wifi but doesn’t work at all when connected to wifi. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it. Please help.
The MMS messaging is not working for me. I have the 3G iPhone, am using the 3.0.1 OS. MMS is selected as “on.” My AT&T account online says that I have MMS messaging. The camera icon is visible when I am texting. I can choose a photo and include it in a message, but it will not send. The red exclamation point appears next to the image. I have done EVERYTHING that was required in order to update my carrier settings (connected to itunes, updated setting, restarted phone, etc). IT STILL IS NOT WORKING. I am beyond frustrated at this point. Another person in my home who has an iPhone is able to send/receive images.
I just got off the phone with At&t business tech support. The guy said that certain areas were experiencing an outage due to the network being
flooded with mms traffic all at once. He said that the issue was being worked on but there was no ETA on when it would be fixed.
