iPhone MMS not working?
Today AT&T released the iPhone MMS Update for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users. Is iPhone MMS not working for you? I’ve read comments where people have been saying that MMS is not working for them. I just tried the MMS update on my iPhone 3GS running on iPhone 3.0.1 firmware and the MMS update worked fine for me.
If you have iPhone 3.1 firmware, then follow the enable iPhone 3G/iPhone 3GS MMS update through iTunes guide. If you have iPhone 3.0 or iPhone 3.0.1 firmware then follow the enable MMS on iPhone 3.0 or iPhone 3.0.1 guide.
Feel free to share any MMS problems that you have in the comments below! If you can’t get it to work, you may want to try again later. The most common thing that most people are forgetting to do is reboot! Remember to reboot your iPhone after applying the MMS update and it should work for you.

Working fine here in Austin, TX since tues/wed. Takes a minute or two sometimes. I’m running a 3G with jailbreak 3.1.
What I want to know, is not how you got MMS tuesday…. but how did you get a jailbreak of 3.1!?!?

After shutdown and turn back on the iphone, it’s working perfectly
The update worked on my jailbroken 3gs on OS 3.0, but when I send a picture message the progress bar almost completes in sending it but doesn’t. Then says message send failure. Is it something wrong on my phone or just AT&T is crashing?
Took every step recommeded here and by AT&T to get it working. The camera icon is there. I can add the pic but it sends about 90% then stops. After about a minute I get the red exclaimation balloon.
Mine actually has been working since about 9 PM last night. In the Metro Detroit area myself. 20 minutes North of Detroit
im having the same trouble as gnewt75 did every step and i tried both choosing existing and taking a photo but both fail at 90%
For those asking for more details. Mine is 3G OS 3.0.1 JB with ipcc ATT 5.0
Mms just worked once 4 me, receive n send, in laredo texas, and another thing how do i jailbreak with 3.1 firmware
use a mac or wait till the windows pwn comes out

I’ve had MMS for.. The past 4 months.. Oh I’m sorry, Tmobile is better, I forgot, how silly of me. Now I’ll go spank Sookie with my Tmo iPhone
whyyyyyyy?!? i get to 90 % and then it just stops! please let me know why you think is happening. I also see that other users are having the same problem. Im using a pc and run 3.0 on 3g jb for fyi
Problem solved….Almost embarrassed to say this but if sharing can solve others problems, then so be it:
The ppl I called at Apple said that picture txts cannot be sent at this moment over EDGE. It will NOT work at all over WIFI (Makes sense).
It can ONLY be sent over 3G!!
Turn off your WIFI and turn ON your 3G. Try it. It worked for me!!
I’ve tried turning off the wifi, I’ve tried sending it over the EDGE network, and I’ve tried it over the 3G network. Sad to say, I’ve came to the same conclusion, it did not work. It goes up to about 90% and the fails. I’m using iphone 3gs, firmware 3.0.1. Please help. Grrr
Working perfectly over here In southern Cali. It takes 10-12 seconds to send the mms. And it takes about 15 to recieve ovr here
Not working for me here in Florida. Called ATT they was clueless , they connected me to apple care and they were like thats att problem.after about an hour and a hour I’m still without the MMS working this sucks

Close Command Prompt or Terminal before updating?
Check your carrier version in SETTING/GENERAL/ABOUT?
Is it AT&T 5.5?
Did you reboot after installing?
