Apple announcement will not include Mac Tablet

There have been many rumors of Apple releasing a Mac Tablet (a bigger iPod Touch) running the iPhone OS software. Today’s Apple announcement will not feature any Mac Tablet. Instead the Apple Rock and Roll Live event will introduce new iPods.
The banner of the “It’s Only Rock and Roll” event clearly tells us that the event will focus on music and not on any Macbook. We know that the event will have an iPod Touch 3rd Generation, an iPod Nano 5th generation, and most likely iTunes 9. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see any Mac Tablet today! Apple is expected to announce it some time next year.

The Tablet is only the BIGGEST deal for the general public! The BIG Apple product to watch for is the NEW iPhone!! Our company ACN, which is the leading provider of Videophones in the world as well as the Largest direct selling telecommunications company in the world as well as the biggest just bought out a company called Worldgate, another would have been competator in the Videophone Market. Well after buying the company we were contacted by Apple, who was also trying to buy the company and/or work with the company to use the technology for their new videophone, and have now worked with us. Apple has the patents in and the phones ready! The new iPhone will have a camera on both sides to be able to be used as a videophone!! And due to working with us and our technology will not just work from iPhone to iPhone, but will be compatible with the ACN videophone which is sweeping across the world allowing people to communicate face to face and at a lower cost than any phone service they may already have and be able to keep their number!! And it will NOT just be iPhone and ACN Videophone! Nokia and motorola are also in on the Videophone exploding biz and will be using the same tech and must all be compatable with the ACN Videophoen ad eachother! This is great for us, or ANY ACN Independent reps, as well as anyone in the know, which is pretty much just ACN reps, who are making MILLIONS of the stock!! When ACN closed the deal with Worldgate (WGAT), e stock was around .0061 a share and has been sky rocketing to a high of 1.55!! in just a week or 2 went from .28 to 1.55 and just took the pull back and after the big ACN international event this weekend were the news will be told to MILLIONS of ACN reps not already in the know will drive the stock to new highs on top of all the companies in the market starting to see WGAT and wonder what this company is up to!! I believed the hype and got together some money to buy a mac tablet when it releases… but… alas…
I’ve never owned an apple product before primarily b/c they are shoddy quality and are manufactured to fail leaving the consumer with little recourse other than to purchase another one at full price. (Before I start a war – i don’t support microsoft either for different reasons) but the mac tablet was going to be the first apple product i’d willingly purchase.
instead it was all hype – which has turned me off completely. There are a ton of tablet computers out there – google will be releasing their OS on netbooks and tablets next year… so i’ll get one of those and never look back. screw apple.
for those of you who love when people hate on apple – here is why i dispise the company:
The simple packaging for their products was revolutionary in the 1990’s – but now apples marketing team hasn’t had to have an original thought in almost 20 years. I’m over it.
The iphone was supposed to be revolutionary – and for a short while it was… but when compared to devices like the g1 and g2, pre, and a few others – the iphone falls short while having the most expensive price tag. …add to that the whole “built to fail” thing I mentioned earlier. No way to replace a battery, if you drop it its broken forever, etc
The company advertisements regularly disseminate half-truths and false information. i.e. – “only on the iphone” is a flat out lie. The commercials that insist macs don’t have technical issues… lies.
Macs are made for people who couldn’t tell a URL from a hole in their head. Using and maintaining a computer is not difficult… that’s why i like to use my computer. I know every detail about how it runs and if something goes wrong I can troubleshoot it in seconds. On a mac? Well, you get the idea.
Finally, macs typically have about half the computing power of “PC”’s (btw, PC does not equal Windows. PC stands for personal computer. Yes, Macs are PCs too.) My current setup is a 2.66Ghz Pent 4, 2gb ram, a bad ass video card, etc etc — and I bought it 9 years ago for 600 dollars. It still runs perfectly. Compare that to the iMac my friend bought 9 years ago for $1,400 that had a 1ghz processor, less ram, a terrible video card… oh… and it stopped working about 5 years ago.

Now, if you love apple – I have plenty to say about microsoft too… just not here. this is an apple related story.
Having said all that? If the apple tablet had come out today – i’d have bought one… even though it would most likely fail in a year. …but it didn’t come out… and after today’s let down, i don’t care if it ever does.
Joe…Your an idiot, the Iphone is still cheaper the the pre and has thousands of more apps. Furthermore everyone is chasing Apple not leading the way. Your comments are completely stupid, which probably sums you up in a nutshell as well. Get a clue dude!
God bless you Joe. Do not support Microsoft OR Apple, they are both evil. Apple is worse though. Microsoft products are overpriced and poorly written (the software) as are Apple products, but Apple also lies outright about its products and has generated a cult following.
Mac is not just a terrible computer with bloated software, its a religion. Save your money and your soul Joe, don’t buy the Mac Tablet.
There is no commercial software I have ever used that I could not find a free equivalent for. Mac software is overpriced and poorly written, they get away with it because Mac users are so devout that they no longer see its obvious and unforgivable problems.
Oh well joe, even if you did buy that tablet, we wouldn’t let you into our cult :-)

Is there any proof that Mac are even working on a tablet?
The tablet is already made. I know for sure because I have a friend working on it. They are trying to extend the battery life before it releases.
Joe makes many good points. It’s interesting that Gates has said, in several venues, that he wants very much to succeed in the tablet department. Of note, according to eWeek, the tablet software is the *only* area where Vista improved over XP.
What I’ve noticed is that every person I know who has a tablet has found it not nearly as useful as they thought it would be. I’m not sure why, but even those who have put effort into learning a different interface (handwriting recognition, particularly), have found it wanting.
Paper and pen are still a very good interface for taking notes quickly in many situations, alas.

I *totally* agree about Apple’s design-to-fail. The lack of a user replaceable battery is an insult as well as a nuisance. I can’t wait for the Droid to take off and swamp them. And I’ve used Macs along with my Windoze machines for decades. They have not been any more user-friendly than the windoze world. In some respects, their business model depends on exploiting the irrational loyalists you describe. Not a way to compete on a large scale, but a good way to keep a lucrative niche going.
Your comments about apple products are completely idiotic. All of you, its not a “cult” following. The products are superior in design and development. OSX makes windows look like total manure, simple as that. You guys need to wake up to reality.

You apple downers are so stupid. Why are you on a mac website posting shit about how apple sucks…you know you want one. Best design ever for a phone. I don’t think even google can ever catch apples ideas. I know the droid is a fucking fail. My jailbroken iPhone already can play flash videos right off any website. I have it fully customized to run progs in the background like the pre. I cam hook my bluetooth keyboard to it and type in any app. This phone is capable of anything, once you free it from apples restrictions, which is y don’t have that many problems. They only want stuff that will let them stay in control. Their only badside. Fix: just jailbreak and enjoy. The mac tablet is going to be sick just as long as it’s as customizable as a jailbroken iPhone. So all you mac haters….shut the fuck up. We can’t help that your friends don’t know how to take care of their stuff…or that you can only afford a Dell.
