New Zune HD images leaked
Zune HD | Hans | August 4, 2009 at 7:25 pmSometime soon Microsoft will be announcing details of the new Zune HD. A Zune MVP recently posted images of the Zune HD on Twitter, and decided to 
remove the images in fear of NDA violations. Once anything is posted on the Internet it will always leak! We’ve already seen the silver Zune HD, but the black Zune HD is new to us.
ithinkdifferent has a bunch of screenshots. The Zune HD is rumored to launch in September, the same month that the iPod Touch third generation is rumored to launch as well. I can’t understand why anyone would want a Zune HD over an iPod Touch. The Zune HD is just an MP3 player with no App Store! Without an App Store there is no way the Zune HD can compete with the iPod Touch.

I think the new Zune will possibly come with capabilities of an application store. But then again it will be very hard to compete with the app store. I think it will come with these things because everything is starting to come with downloadable apps. Can’t wait ta see wat happens
Apple will always be the king, even if Microsoft puts an app store out it will take months to get apps up, plus apples got the iPhone (which infact is how I’m posting this comment) anything with a microcrap sticker will always be a few steps behind, plus the new touch will be out soon, camera n all so for the few that buy the new zune 10 times more will buy the touch, sad but true.
To point this out then.
May I ask you why is it almost every business & corporate uses some sort Microsoft Software (i.e. Windows XP, Office 2003, Windows Server).
I hate to be blunt but apple will never be first at anything with all of their security/money making measures. (i.e. I have to buy mac certified hardware to upgrade my mac, really?, you have to hack your Iphone/Ipod Touch to get custom made apps, really?) The list goes on my friend.
The simple truth is Apple wants your money more than Microsoft so its a battle of the lesser of two evils.
I wouldn’t also be surprised if I get attacked for this post by the Apple Fanboys coming out of the woodwork now.
Also duely noted, if I wanted a mobile PC I would buy a netbook. Not some silly little App Carrying Device, where 1/2 of the Apps are useless, (i.e. Mirror, Mirror).

Well, I have an iPhone and a new MacBook. I’m a computer science student and I can tell you a couple of things: I can program on my iPhone, the iPhone/iPod touch are mini computers, I have my laptops but having a compute in your pocket can come in handy at times. I doubt the zune will have very much reception. Why buy an mp3/video player when u can buy a pocket size computer and do even more than that. Now about “hacking” the device, anyone who’s anyone in the computer scene has hacked something in their lives, that’s not even a good-enough argument.
Yes, most servers are Microsoft or Linux but let’s remember our computer history class guys, bill gates won the personal computer battle in the 80’s, which gives him a good 25 years over stevey. The only thing that stops the business world from moving to apple powered computers is the cost of the machines.
We’ll see, competition is always a good thing ;)
i honestly think the zune is better than the ipod touch… IF you were talking about the generation one with no apps… other than that, id get the zune… but only after they get an appstore and the zune gets updated to gen 3 or sumthing, cuz then there mite be mirco phones and that c***

Microsoft needs to come out with the zune hd as a phone with an app store and windows mobile. and without all the restrictions like apple has. if it wasnt for iphone dev team i would hate the iphone. kinda still do.. but if microsft comes out with an open source phone i think it has the potential to be a more popular product than iphone. although it would take some time for everyone to give up on iphone and make a switch. and they should also just forget about att and verizon and tmobile and just make it unlocked out of the box and sell it at walmart best buy etc.
And what all these major phone companys need to realize is if it wasnt for all the aps. iphones would just be a really expensive phone..
