PG220 Phone, a cheap iPhone clone
iPhone | Hans | August 25, 2009 at 9:57 amWhile browsing NewEggMall.com, I noticed that a phone called the PG220 Phone was on sale for $99. Does this phone look like something familiar to you?
Yes this looks like an iPhone! The design of the phone with the home screen, and even the interface design looks similar to the one found on the iPhone. If you like to buy cheap clones of the iPhone, then go ahead and buy the PG220 Phone. There are no reviews of this on NewEggMall.com yet, but if you do buy it then feel free share your experience with this iPhone clone. I’d imagine it’s very laggy, freezes often, and is a huge waste of your money. It doesn’t even have an App Store either. Just save up for an iPhone and get the better deal instead!

I’ve seen these online for a while now. I would have to agree that they would be a waste of someone’s money, but I’m sure they’re a good cheapy replacement phone.
They sale these in china at the markets. I was just there last month and played with one. Talk about a piece of crap. I own the real deal and it’s nothing like it past looks. Super laggy, plastic touch screen that is terrible and can’t sense touch for crap… All around bad waste of money. Like it was stated in this column save up!!! Get the real iPhone.
you can practically get an iphone 3G for $99*
*new customers and 2 year contract required*
Ok my boss frome work had 1 of this phone is kind of cool because it those the same as the iPhone the only diferent that I love is that it takes 2 sim card yes 2 not 1 so u can have 2 nomber u know 1 can be a secret frome the wife or girl I will give this phon 8 out of 10.
Kast, I guess you must be double dating at the moment
Sue them they can’t get away with this shit
I googled this one and most of the sites claiming to have information on it are fake Anti-Virus lame malware crap just like the phone… boo!
i work in the apple store and a guy actually came up to me and asked me if we sold the power cord for that, i told him no, that it wasn’t an iphone and we only sell power cords for the iphone he then showed me the hole for the power on the phone and said are u sure u don’t have this? and i was like NO WE ONLY HAVE POWER CORDS FOR THE IPHONE check best buy or something. lol it has like almost the same hole that a moto razr has. i just thought it was annoying he would think that we would have a power cord for an imitation of something that we sell. what a dumba**.
Suing them wont help, there are plenty more copies from plenty different companies. Suing wont stand a chance even in court because the phone is not an EXACT replica nor are they selling them by the iphone or apples name, does not share the same OS(or even a copy) & nor are the features same except ofcourse a few. But we all know their intention. Anyway i still think its not that bad, the dual-sim feature is pretty cool, i myself bought the “mini 5800″ for the same purpose, more then one sim!
And maybe its cheap over in the US to purchase a iphone but here in dubai its not, the official contract carrier etisalat is selling it for 2900-DHS which is 773-US$ for a LOCKED iphone! Now tell me can a average person afford that? Certainly not!
And so the Chinese copies are selling well.
WOW! THIS LOOKS DITTO LIKE AN iPHONE, NOW FOR THOSE WHO can’t afford Apple Iphone they can get one for so cheap..Great!is it!
I wonder if this is hackable to run Android, might be fun to experiment.
To the iPhone fanboys: relax, take a deep breath and step away from the computer. Run your Zippo app and forget you saw this phone.
I have a Chinese KA08, inspired by the iPhone. The difference is this mini iClone is the size of a credit card, looks good, and works great as a phone. While no App Store I have no data package to pay for – I use my Apple Touch. Again just want a cool phone. The iPhone is really a chunky phone. by the way these iClones have a Java store and millions of free Apps and developers. Watch out iPhone
Overall, I really like the PG-220.
*Except that it is absolutely painful to TEXT on this phone and the camera is useless.
I’ve been a fan of Apple for sometime, they produce technology that is aesthetically gorgeous while working like a charm. That can’t be said about alot of companies, it’s usually one or the other. Tech companies don’t usually take aesthetics seriously like Apple. With me stating that I’ve got to say that I’m very excited about the new iSlate. One thing I question though, is it too soon? I think that this may be ahead of its time. What do you think?
