iPod Touch 3rd Generation Photos?

A topic on the WeiPhone forums seems to have leaked pictures of what appears to be the iPod Touch third generation. All I could see in the pictures is the new Camera app icon and a camera on the back of the iPod Touch. Besides that nothing else seems to have changed.

iPod Touch Third Generation - Camera

iPod Touch Third Generation - Camera app

I think Apple will also double the RAM and offer the iPod Touch with more memory as well if or once it comes out in September. Video recording is one of the key features of the iPhone 3GS, will Apple add it to the iPod Touch third generation? Even if they don’t, lots of people will be jailbreaking their iPod Touches to download video recording applications from Cydia.

Update: This is a fake, but there are more pictures of the iPodTouch 3rd gneration and a video from another source which looks real.

This is 100 % bullshit. Photoshop for the camera and they used a app from cydia for the camera
app. This is 100% fake. It is a iPod touch 2g. That is no where close to believalbe

THIS IS SOOO FAKE OMG IT LOOKS LIKE A KID TOKE THE BRUSH TOOL AND COLORED IT BLACK AND HE GAVE A CLICK ON THE ITOUCH BACK AND THE APP IN HOMESCREEN WAS OPENED BY GOOGLE ImagES AND SAVED AS A BOOKMARK APP WITH NAMED CAMERA.
by the way apple wont put the camera next to the wifi because the wifi will make the camera take bad pics with lines the would put it at the opposite corner of the wifi.
AND HOW IS THE IPOD TOUCH SCRATCHED THAT FAST IF IT WAS REAL WHICH IS ISNT AND APPLE PROBABly DIDNT MaKE IT YET.

  11. Rob says:

Obviously they DIDN’T go “thru a lot to fake this” coz it looks so obviously and older gen ipod touch with a crappy 1o second photshop sesh for the camera hole “eye roll”

  12. Kyle sugden says:

This is a fake. The back is badly scratched for a new ipod that hasnt been released yet.
Although this picture is fake, it doesnt rule out that apple are likely to add a camera.

  13. Allen says:

No doubt a fake. Besides what everyone else has mentioned, why would apple put the camera in the middle. I realize it’s not as thick on the edges, but it doesn’t even look like an apple.

  14. Trevor says:

Show us the serial # and type it apples database on their website; see which gen this REALLY is

  15. Paul Masterson says:

Remember, there’s been reports of the 3rd gens being on the Internet since three months ago. Three months is more than enough time to get those type of scratches.

  16. Chris Jones says:

  17. Zuro says:
