Deposit Checks from iPhone with USAA Deposit@Mobile
App Store, iPhone | Hans | August 10, 2009 at 3:11 pmWhenever you get a check, you always need to go to your bank to deposit it. USAA mobile plans to change that with a new update to it’s free USAA
mobile iPhone App. USAA Mobile has 7.2 million customers, and out of these 7.2 million customers one million use the USAA mobile iPhone app to manage their bank account.
USAA plansĀ to update it’s iPhone app to allow depositing checks through your iPhone. With USAA Mobile’s Deposit@Mobile feature, customers can simply take a picture of their check from the iPhone and deposit their checks to their bank account. In most cases the check is depositted immediately. Customers don’t need to take the check to the bank, and USAA suggests that they void the check or discard it. USAA Mobile is the first and the only bank to have this feature.
You can see a demo of the USAA Deposit@Mobile feature in the following video:

WVUFCU (West Virgina Unity Federal Credit Union) Also developed their own app to deposit checks from the iPhone.
It’s to easy. I use usaa and I like them. But this new way seems a little risky.
And for a side note. It only let’s you depoist 5000 daily.
@Kyle B, dude, if you ever need to deposit more than $5000 daily, please come visit me in DC; I can help you out with that.
Well I’m in Va. So may have to. Only problem I have with this app is. If u get a check over 5grand. Then your screwed. So I guess I would have to tell someone who was paying over 5grad to write me two different checks.
