Mac OS X Snow LeopardApple has officially announced that they will be releasing Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard on Friday, August 28. Current Mac OS X users can upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard for $29.

What’s new in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard?

It’s faster, and easier to use.

You can activate Exposé from your dock, wake from sleep and shutdown Mac faster, install more quickly and get 7 GB of disk space, and more refinements to everything from iChat to Preview.

Microsoft Exchange Support, out-of-the-box.

Windows PC’s don’t have built-in support for the latest version of Microsoft Exchange Server, but Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard includes this support. You can use your Mac at home/work/school and keep all your messages,mettings, and contacts in one place. You can also easily set Microsoft Exchange up with the Autodiscovery feature. You can also use Mail, iCal, and Address Book to access your work e-mail, calendars, and more.

Safari 4 is included.

Apple’s latest browser, Safari 4 is included with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Features of Safari 4 include up to 50 percent faster Javascript performance, top sites, built-in Google suggest, flip-through page previews of browsing history in Cover Flow, and more.

Universal Access.

With Snow Leopard, when you drag your finger across the trackpad, VoiceOver speaks items you touch so you know where to find them on your screen. There’s also support for over 40 braille display models, including Bluetooth models. New accesibility features that make web browisng easier, faster, and more enjoyable are included as well.

    IT is pretty fast, but not sure if the 10A432 is GM I bet 10A436 or higher is the right GM.

    I hav a mac with windows installed if i upgrade to snow leopard will my windows be still dre or ir will be deleted please tell guys i need ur help

      if you use fusion or parallels it wont be deleted. i’m not sure about boot camp though, most likly it will still be there.

        Parallels 2.5 and previous are actually incompatible with Mac OS 10.6, so in a sense, yes you won’t be able to use Windows anymore if that’s the way you do it.

    Firstly RAY why did you buy a mac and installed windows? & yes windows will be deleted if you upgrade!

      umm. maybe so u run games and programs that dont have a mac version??

      No it won’t, Mac OS and Windows are installed on separate partitions. Just hold down ALT during boot (or use Startup Disk in System Preferences) and boot into windows like you always do. Unless Mac OS 10.6 updates EFI when you install it, there is not logical way or reason for Mac OS upgrade to phuck up Windows.
