Yep, thought it was some fluke or something.... My battery life was like back when the SSH was constantly running. I can barely make it through a day without recharging it.

Apple should make the new iTunes 9 capable to discover iPods and iPhones with OS 2. I got rid of that short battery life and overheating!

I also have experienced the same. Like mojo I live in a warm city, I have actually, when charging it at home, placed the phone in a freezable drink cooler in order to be able to charge the phone while at home!

poohbear, then it is probably due to an installed software, not the OS.

My iPhone's problem is even worst, short battery life and cannot receive incoming calls. i restored it at least 3 times. At first, it worked fine; but when i connected my phone to PC and re-synced, problem happened again. So my experience is the phone will work fine if not re-synce it.

Mine does too. I think its the push notifications. Battery charge seems to last less too. Also I'm in a hot town so I thought that was part of it. It will heat to the point where it won't charge. I hold it infront of the A.C. vent in the car and that cools it down enough to charge. Interesting that they've built a fail safe into the device to prevent charging and overheated battery. And also proof that the overheating is real and not imagined.
