i downloaded quickpwm to jailbreak my ipod touch 1st generation, but when i click on it it says it cant open file?

scratch the message before this one, its the correct previous version, its just i already had 8.2 installed so it doesnt work for me.

I cant downgrade my itunes 8.2 on my mac because i cant find a previous version of itunes for the mac. And since i know that you guys arent robots and have other things to do but do you think u could give an estimated date of release for the final firmware 3.0 is.

I have an ipod touch 2nd gen w the 2.2.1 (5H11a) version and i’ve been trying to jb it, but quickpwn stops working already on the first stage when i’m browsing the firmware. it says “error firmware string” which seems to be a common problem so i’ve been googling a solution for it but it still won’t work!! i’ve been downgrading my itunes to v8.1.1.10, downloading different firmwares and quickpwn versions,, but nothing seems to be working!
pleaaaaaaaaaaase help!! i’ve been doing this for over 5 hours now!! x \

The person that made this program should get a big award. ever since i got my i pod (1st gen.) I’ve been jail breaking. the other day i updated my i pod to 2.2.1 and jail broke it.

Hey.. I’ve got to that part also. where it tells me to check off Cydia,Installer and the Boot Logo thing. after i clicked the Blue arrow button on the bottom right.. it says something and then it disappears. Then nothing happens. does it happen same as you?

I am trying to jailbreak iphone 3g that already has 2.2.1 installed. I downgraded back to iTunes 8.1, downloaded quickpwm but nothing happens. Am I missing a step? Do I need to go back to 2.2 on my iphone, and how do I do that? I am a mac users.
