Hold down the square home button and the standby button until your iPod Touch turrns off. Then turn it back on by pressing the standby button.

i get the iphone iphone could not be restored. an unknown error occured (9) when i try to downgrade to firmware 2.2 form 2.2.1

My ipod touch screen will not pick up on my computer. it say apple camera. The only thing showing on the ipod screen is a picture of the itunes icon and an arrow pointing to the usb cord.

It means you didn’t download the correct firmware or you are using iPod Touch 2G firmware which is unsupported.
