I have had 3 failed attempts, I run through all the steps and I get a white screen for like 15 minutes and the phone shuts off.. I turn it back on and it is un-jailbroken.
I was told by an iPhone guru that if its not dev-team approved dont do it.. And the windows way (5,000,000) steps is causing problems and is sportaically working at best..
I have a 2G iphone it was already pwned with winpwn on 2.0.1.
I just connected it to itunes 8 and updated to 2.1 and the phone remained unblocked and jailbroken without any aditional steps.

It’s a shortcut for Macintosh and not an acronym.
MAC is “Media Access Control” used in networks.
same issue as first commenter. it installs, white screen, reboots, no installer. running iphone 2g.
Works fine with me. I updated to 2.1 restored my data then ran quickpwn on my MBp.
Worked Great QuickPWN downloaded all files for me and installed fine, I had version 2.1 before, all it did was jail break it and I lost no data and applications.
Hands up folks. Who else would love to see the running quickpwnapple on a t-shirt?
It worked great for my iphone 3G. Now there are two cydia and installer icons in the iphone 3G. But i do not know how to install some cracked games, e.g. spore origins to my hacked iphone? Is there anyone know how to do it? Thnxxx
I have a 2nd iPOD Touch. I downloaded QuickPWN 2.1 and launched it. After clicked the window showing “connect the device”, it stopped at the screen which had iPHone, ipod and iPhone 3g pictures and nothing happened. Does anyone have the same situation? or What should I do to continue the process?

Everything has been unlocked but there is no network carrier or network options. I can use wifi and all other functions but not make a call. I Also have all the new icons. Has anyone got any ideas as it seems like it is unlocked.
I am on vodafone.

I have the same situation. i cant click on the symbol ipod touch. nothing happens. The prog worked for other people… What did i do wrong?
You should try again. I still cant make a call on it but the ipod works fine??
I have all the extra software on the ipod including genius. I have carried this out several times and I get the same result.

I am having the same problem. I have one of the new iPod Touch 2nd Generation devices. I can’t get past the screen showing the old iPhone, iPhone 3G, and the older iPod Touch. Any help?
I’m on 2.0.1 right now, upgraded from 1.1.4 to 2.0.1 using winpwn. I want to upgrade to 2.1 now using quickpwn (on my mac). What do I need to do? I can’t find instructions for my case.
Do I need to first upgrade iTunes to 8, update the fw through iTunes, then use quickpwn?

I have a 3G, v2.1, QuickPwn’d it in under 20 min. I LOVED it. Buuut, after a day of playing, adding themes, apps (like cycorder) and stuff, it froze. I mean it REALLY froze, I couldn’t do anything but go back to the original Apple firmware. But it is nice to know that this process is so easy that once they get the bugs out I can Pwn it, have a bad-ass phone and not worry if I’ll mess something up, because I can always plug it right back into itunes and hit ‘Restore’…
