I have no service on a 3G iPhone. I followed the instructions step by step to the letter. I am using Vista, QuickPwn 2.1 and iTunes 8.0.
When I use the IPSW file to restore the phone, it goes to the USB port/ITunes picture on the phone and only allows emergency calls. No signal.
When I use QuickPwn, it jailbreaks the phone, but no signal.
When I use iTunes to restore the phone, I still get no signal anymore.
Please … can somebody give me some help? I just want to get my phone working again, even if it is not jailbroken. If I can do it myself, I will.

OMG the same exact thing happened to me!!!!! I have a 2.1 ipod, but i ran the quickpwn, and it seemed to work fine, it had all of the loading screens and everything, and then it had the pineapple with a bite out of it, and it just sits there staring, no mocking me… and rebooting every 2 mins about…i guess i haven’t timed it yet or anything, buut it prob is, anyway yeah its not recognized by itunes but it is by windows(xp), which i’m using btw…… wwwiiiieeerrrddddd, and on halloween too… hmmmm jk

Thats what happening to me! Can someone give me a link to a quickpwn that doesn’t do this.
when using quickpwn I am suck on the browsing page. It will not allow my computer to search my 3g and find the firmware. I can only open it up as a camera. How can i find the firmware on my 3g?

i was try to use Quickpwn with my XP pro SP2
At the beginning it show jailbreaking and then suddenly show message
“DEVICE HAS CONNECTED TO THE WRONG MODE.THIS CAN BE CAUSED BY INCORRECT FOLLOWING OF THE INSTRUCTION OR A FAULTY USB CONNECTION PLEASE TRY AGAIN”
I am not sure what i am doing wrong , when i put my 3 G iphone on DUF mode and quickpwn show jaiwbreaking and on my Iphone it show hard drive picture for make be 1 min and then give message .

hi all, for those of you who could until now not get their iphone to go into dfu mode,
or quickpwn / winpwn would not detect recovery mode, even though itunes did detect it,
here is the solution that worked for me:
1. BALLOONTIPS MUST BE ENABLED
Both winpwn and quickpwn rely on balloontips in windows xp to verify whether the iphone
is going in recovery mode or not.
So, enable balloon tips if they are disabled.
to enable balloontips, download the vbscript from the following link, select no.11:

or using the regeditor directly:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\EnableBalloonTips
change the value to 1.
You must restart your computer for this change to become effective.
2. MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 MUST BE INSTALLED
Microsoft .net framework 2.0 must be installed or else winpwn / quickpwn will crash.
it’s does jailbreak 3g 16gb, but youtube not working right (keep hangs at 4~6 seconds)..did not detect my sim? how to fix? it’s may post somewhere, this jailbreak did not unlock anysim?
ohhh, i’m not sure it’s does unlocked phone but sim did not work? there was no reception and phone book stored in sim card is unreadable, i believe it did not unlock to anysim and any network……

qill quick pwn delete my hacked movies on my ipod touch?
just finished jailbreaking my ipod touch and you can use last restore point from itunes and it won’t delete any of it.
this was much easier than I thought.
I had to undo the 1.1 jailbreak to get my 2.1 firmware so I was scared I wouldn’t be able to restore my contacts without undoing every thing.
now all that is left is to put my hacked movies and apps back on, than have some fun.

Worked perfectly…This is what worked for me. I have 1st gen 2.1 ipnone with win xp and Itunes 8
1. Download quickpwn
2. Unzip or unpack
3. Plug Iphone to Computer or Notebook
4. Let Itunes backup and sync
5. Close Itunes but do NOT unplug the USB from IPHONE
6. Click the Pineapple
7. Follow the directions
