Install Flash Player iPhone App

Do you want to install Flash Player software on your iPhone or iPod Touch? Well, right now we don’t know when you will be able to do it, but we do know that Adobe is working on a Flash Player application for the iPhone. Adobe has officially confirmed that they are working on an Adobe Flash Player application. The follow quote confirms that Adobe is working on the iPhone Flash Player:

install flashplayer iphone, iphone flashplayer app, flash on iphone
“Upon a direct question from the audience, Paul Betlem for the first time publicly confirmed that Adobe is actively developing a Flash Player for Apple’s popular phone. He said (not direct quote) ‘My team is working on Flash on the iPhone, but it’s a closed platform.’ He noted that Apple makes all the decisions, so in other words, the ball is in Apple’s yard at this time. If Apple says yes, Adobe will have the player available in a very short time.”

Adobe’s CEO already had Flash running on the iPhone emulator in June. Do not be too excited about flash because flash takes up a lot of memory and most mobile devices do not have enough speed to process all the flash on various websites. Even if there is flash for the Apple iPhone you should expect it to run slow and not have the full capabilites that the flash for your PC has. Having flash on your iPhone could also enable all those annoying ads on various websites which is not really a good thing, but thankfully you can edit your hosts file in your iPhone and block certain ad servers (which requires a little more work on your part but it’s doable).

When will flash for the iPhone come out? Well Adobe claims that it could come out very soon, but it all depends on when Apple will officially allow Adobe to release this application. Knowing Apple, I am sure that they would reject the iPhone flash app and wait another month before approving it. Having flash on your iPhone would open up a lot of capabilities! The biggest reason why most iPhone users would want flash is because they want to play flash iPhone games from websites like Miniclip.

Personally, I think a flash player for the ipod would be great; but, looking back on previous situations like this, apple will probably say no, they are working on a better one, then, a couple weeks later someone will make some genius flash player even better available for jailbroken ipods….. but, hey, that’s just my honest opinion.

I honestly can’t believe some of the comments and threads I’m reading. No one invited you to jailbreak and no one is making you do it so just leave you ungrateful little ignorant morons. You know how horrible that is? Do you even understand the time these teams put in and require nothing to be given back to them? I can’t believe that people like this actually exist in this world.

apple are supposed to be working with adobe to make the flash player compatable with the ipod touch/iphone and it will be intergrated into the fw ( wont be avalable through appstore) currently we dont know the time frame for completion of the flash player (a good guess is that it may be included with version 2.3)

latest update is that Adobe cancelled the project due to the SDK reglementations. And they refuse to work together with Apple. Thank you, greedy Steve !!!

    Got another one:
    1. When will there be am more stable Browser – maybe Firefox or IE?
    2. When will the iPod be able to connect without tricks to WLAN after switching it on?
    3. When will there be faster WLAN? 54kbit is far away from reality?
    4. When will there be PW-safe-function for logins?
    5. When will there be a more stable MAC/PC-Connection than iTunes?
    6. When will iTunes be able to “Multi-Thread”?
    .
