Have a small problem…. All of my .ipsw files on my computer are all listed as recovery versions. Will this make a difference in the grand scheme of things?
Obviously it does. QuickPWN gets to the commandline output and crashes within 10 seconds using a restore version of the .ipsw files on M$ Vi$ta.
Is is possible to manually download a clean and pristine version of the .ipsw file we need?
If so, where?

paste that into internet explorer and it will download a clean 2.0.2 ipsw directly from apple’s servers. That is how i got it for free

or you could also go to this directory on your computer, it is where itunes saves the software upgrades that it downloads. You might have to show hidden folder to get to it though.
hey the way which worked best for me was to quickpwn it first then update through itunes! everything seems ok youtube worksund is still unlocked
This application is written using Microsoft .NET version 2.0. Install the 2.0 framework to avoid initialization failures.
I have no problem using QuickPwn RC3 to jailbreak 2.0.2. The process was smooth. The only problem is after the installation, I downlaoded a few free apps from the App Store. The installations again were smooth. But when i open the apps, they will show probably the first screen of the app. Then in about 3-5 seconds, the app will close automatically. Anyone can help?
same problem, it works for me if i install apps through itunes and then sync them to the touch
Everytime i try to jailbreak my ipod touch it fails… i get to the screen where it says “wait for your ipod to connect in recovery mode” my ipod restarts and the itunes logo comes up but quickpwn doesn’t realize that this has happened so this instructions don’t change.
So i’ve tried to restart the program and when i do it the instructions instantly change but at the end of following the instructions it says the ipod started in the wrong state and i didn’t follow the instructions or a bad usb connection is there. i don’t see how this could happen i know i follow the directions properly anyone experience similar problems?

I did it anyway, and I’m very happy about it. I first updated to iTunes 8, downloaded (and downloaded only) the 2.1 firmware. After that I RESTORED and configured it as a new device. Than I closed iTunes 8, QuickPWN’d with the latest release on quickpwn.com, updated Cydia to the latest version, and all my favorite apps (except for Categories) just work fine.
can someone tell me what the difference is between quickpwn, quickpwn RCS, and jailbreak? I have a classic iPhone which came to me already cracked, and now i want to run the software update and will need to uncrack it again, not sure which of the three prog’s I mentioned I should be using…thanks…

why wont quickpwn open on my pc?? When i go to open it a app error pops up and tell me that it that the app did not anitialize properly please help me
i need to help, i have an ipod touch and i have version 1.1.5 i want to change 2.1.1 but i don´t konw if i have to have the version 2.0.1
i have managed to unlock the phone, however i only get the itunes disk and cable, and itunes has en error message incorrect sim. My phone shows Voda in the top left so it recognises the sim card but wont go to the home screen. Any ideas please.
Hey I have tried every frimware and I use a turbosim, but It won’t let me use Itunes and I don’t have any bars using the sim. Any suggestions?
